León, Gto., January 27.- SME Fund resources will be available in fegruary to avoid impact from US recession, said Heriberto Felix Guerra, Undersecretary for Small and Medium Business from the Ministry of Economy.
Félix assured that mexican SMEs live thanks to local market and won't be affected, and those who export, do it trhough third parties. "so, the SMEs won't have problems with the economic situation of the northern neighbor".
Anyway, he added, there's the order from Eduardo Sojo, Ministry of Economy and President Felipe Calderón, to have the funds available as soon as possible. "We are ready, the firs meeting already took place and the rules are published".
For 2008, there are 3.5 billion pesos available for business looking for resources through the SME Fund. |
